Facile Density Measurement Method for High-Concentration Sulfate Determination

In this study, a fast, facile and high accuracy method for concentration sulfate determination is presented. The based on precipitation of ions with barium ions. amount quantified by measurement the density ion solutions before mixing, supernatant after mixing. A calibration curve between 2.5 5.5 M in vanadium electrolyte was performed, obtaining precision better than 0.7%, agreement propagation-of-error analysis. Accuracy determined one-point against sample known at best same as precision. Within method, no systematic effect presence other ions/interferents (vanadium, phosphate) observed.
